I love all fat-fender cars.

Not only steel, but rust free steel like we never see here in the Northeast. The car comes from El Paso, Texas and is rock solid. That was what really sealed the deal for me.

With the Model A in the background, it appears you sinned more than once.

Very nice.

Gee I hope that your garage is big enough, that is better than nice.

Not my garage. I only wish. That belongs to a friend who deals in this stuff, but mostly likes/races Camaros. The Model A is not mine. That garage is 80 feet long and is just perfect but out of my price range.

Having a Chevy engine will save you....I have a '37 Ford with a 396 supercharger and a '30 Ford Model A with a small block Chevy in it....both cars past the smell test! They are at home with the Corvettes in the garage!

Last summer I found this in a garage near my home and purchased it. It was taken apart in 1971 because the owner was going to make a hot rod out of it. Instead he got into motorsports photography and never did anything with it. This picture was taken the day I picked it up. After doing a little research on restoration costs and all, I decided it would be better to sell it to a real Ford guy (which I am not) and let them have all the fun.

I always thought Tri-Five T-Birds look cool with the rear fender skirts removed. Was Bill Mitchell maybe inspired by their shape for his Sting Ray racer and the production C2 that followed?

I think that his idea for a split window coupe came from my 39.

Congratulations! You can't go wrong with a '39 Deluxe coupe. A car design that is nearly perfect. I sold one about a year and a half ago. I probably shouldn't have. Would be great to see some more photos.

As long as this is confession, I sinned this spring........... it may be time to sin again lol

You must do penance, MY SON. Wash & wax your car each week, for the next 5 weeks.

Nice looking T Bird. As long as we are all confessing, I must admit that I just sold my split window coupe. Yup, it is going to Ohio. Oh, I should say that it is the 39 Ford coupe with a split window that is going. Just had to let it go because I just found a 87 Monte Carlo SS aero coupe. Real barn find that was parked in a barn in rural Maine 9 years ago. One owner, lady never took out the T tops and with 48K. Hope my picture comes out. Plan is to clean up and find it a new home.

That is a rare car! Make sure you post a photo once you've got it cleaned up.
