Default Opinions on this car lift

This lift would be perfect for my garage. Is anyone familiar with this lift or have a valid opinion on it? Appears to be certified. Thanks

I don't have one, but being made in the USA is a definite plus if I was in the market. What do they get for one?

why would you want this rather than a 2 post? granted, it can be moved, but it still has to be stored somewhere.

Bill,

This can be moved in the driveway for service or repairs if needed. Does not have to be permanently mounted. I like that feature.

Have you seen this single post lift -- and it's mobile if needed.

I think you would kick yourself a month after you got it erected. The scissors are in the way as Bill mentioned and they also prevent using the underside of the stored car as another storage space.

I wouldn't take it if it was free.

Quite interesting. The middle bar gets in the way of trans work but cool.

If you look at the photos from underneath, you can remove a trans or do exhaust work. Middle is open.

Unfortunately, I do not have the space for a 4 post. That would be ideal for me.

Google "single post lifts" -- that was the first mobile one I found -- there's bound to be other manufacturers.

if Frank has room for a 4-post, almost everyone does.... (and it's portable...)

Mohawk does make a nice product, I've been looking at their entry level two-post A7 lift but they are a bit pricey. The A7 is about $5300 delivered.
You might find more feedback if you check out the NCRS Forum, they seems to be a similar thread on Mohawk lifts.

I have a midrise lift like you show in the photo, if I didn't have a four post I wouldn't have gotten it. Each has its own purpose, I think the four post is more convenient. Large, yes, but you can get to the entire underbody....the one in the photo you can't.

mohawk the best, USA made, ultra strong and expensive, but I would buy a 4 post rather that waste money on that lift that will have limited used compared to 4 post or 2 post....but if it is what works for you I say go for it and enjoy

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when it's extended all the way up, it looks like if you gave it a good shove up on the front bumper, it would topple backwards....?

I'll bet the manufacturer's warnings on that take two hours to read....

As to that single post lift....you can put a 4-post lift in your garage, pay for it to be installed, and, do any garage modifications needed in a typical residential situation for that price AND get space to store another car
