Default I must have a race on Friday....... worst one yet

So.... the US131 FAST Spring Nationals is this weekend, and usually about this time I have a great picture of my car in some sort of state of disrepair.

This year I have outdone myself.

I don't think I will be pulling this rabbit out of my hat.

anyone got a loaner car ? I promise not ot put more than 40 miles on it

anyways, if you are looking for something fun to do, Friday and Saturday we will be tearing up the track at US 131 Motorsports Park

If you were the painter and I believe from a previous thread you are not, I would not bet against you not showing up ready to roll. You seen to always pull it out.......

Bummer Donny. Does look like the shop is doing it right, allowing repairs and primer to cure. Ya' never know...fresh paint without all the trim will still allow you to qualify/race, HA!

Good luck!

327/350 check
4 speed check
4.56 gears check

but something is just not right

Why are you doing that!!??
Did you blow up yer engine?
Looks like you installed a blower?
Where's the hood, and how far did it fly into the air when the explosion happened?
Inquiring minds want to know.

In the interim you can borrow my wife's 1998 VW Jetta. I'll tape up the headlights.

Looking good Donny! Looks like it's going to be a horse race on assembly once she's painted...OR you'll race her as a "work-in-progress"...wouldn't be the first time one raced without bumpers and other trim.

Jim,
I think the car has to be outfitted as it was produced in order to race in the Pure Stock drags. I'll most likely be there but not racing.

After suffering from Parsonage–Turner syndrome 4 years ago my drag racing days are over (no power shifts) but you are welcome to make a go at it.
