Default Reliable mechanic in/close to Mountain View, Ca

I am on the pennisula/south bay area. Looking for a reliable mechanic to work on a few things on my 67 vert. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jason

Jason - I used to live in the Northbay near Santa Rosa but a friend with a 66 Bigblock Roadster that lives in Menlo Park used to run over to Hayward to Pat Hendrix's shop, Precision Motive. I've also got a couple friends who have personal hobby shops out at Sears Pt (now Sonoma Raceway) that live in Redwood Shores and Hillsboro to find out who they can recommend for you. Lastly, a neighbor across the street from our old house is heavy into Autocrossing and he takes his '88 down to someone in (I think) Mountain View. Between them, we should be able to come up with someone local for you.

Thanks Mike, much appreciated. I have looked into Precision Motive and they get good reviews. I am interested to see if there are any specialists closer. I'd be interested to hear what your buddies say.

Try Kevin Ireland at Corvette Connection in San Jose, near Curtner and Monterey at 270 Cimino St, 408 294-9300.

Good guy, quality work, reasonable prices.

I've known him for 20 years +/-.

Tell him Glenn Roberts sent ya!

Give Dave Herlinger a try. Dave's a super nice guy and right in your backyard. Nobody knows more about mid years in the area.

That's the guy you want. He's rebuilt my whole drive train, I've been going to him for the last 20 years. He used to be the drive train expert at the GM plant in Fremont back in the day. That car won't leave his shop until it's perfect. He's slow but it gets done right.

Jason - Heard back from my friends in the South Bay. Two places were recommended. The first is up in Burlingame off Rollins Road called West Coast Corvette, owner Gary Christiansen. (650) 344-6926 http://www.garyswestcoastcorvette.com/
The other recommended Corvette Shop is: North Star Corvettes, owner David Bonar, located at 190 Calderon Ave (at Villa St). (650) 969-3134 http://www.corvettesbynorthstar.com/
