Default Fuse Box Help - 58 Corvette

How do you remove the fuse box so that I can take a look in behind it. I feel there may be some corrosion or wires not connected. Can someone provide information on how this is done? 58 Corvette

Thank you !!!!

Can't remember but I think there are 2 screws holding it on. Remove the fuses to see the screws.

first unplug the two connectors on firewall get electrical spray to clean surfaces. there are two screws back them out .

I think that is not necessary first clean fuse areas where fuse connects
those areas get rusty and the fuse doesn't make contact pulled fuses out where they fit tighter then see whats not working. if you pull the whole fuse panel there's not much to look at its all spliced together.

'58's, as in all pre '63 fuse panels, do not have firewall connectors.

Remove the upper right fuse, and the flasher. There should be 2 Phillips screws holding it in. Once removed check the flat spade terminals for corrosion or loose connections. If loose, gently squeeze them with pliers then reinsert. Badly corroded connectors may need replacementm but wire length may prevent that.

Of course only do this after disconnecting power at the battery.

No offense Bomba - but after about 1/2 dozen of your electrical posts - have you considered a dash rewire ? Sounds like corrosion and Bubba might have made things dangerous under there...
