c1 (58) brake light issue
My tail lights work and appear the same brightness, but the right rear is dim when the brakes or turn signal is activated without the headlights on. With the headlights on the passenger tail light is dim when the the turn signal is activated and the passenger tail light actually goes out when the brakes are applied. the drivers side functions normally.
1. Not the bulb...switched them and same results.
2. New wiring harness
3. New turn signal switch....jiggle tested...same results.
4. Confirmed ground on passenger tail light with a leader to the housing.
5. Disconnected brake switch at pedal and tested with turn signal... bulb is still dim, i can see that the second filament is not lighting, switched bulbs again... still dim.
I am going to continue but I am curious .... does the brighter filament light due to higher voltage and / or voltage source? I think the answer may lie in the fact the light goes out completely when the brake is applied.
Off to retest.

Okay.. now working fine... no clue what I did... I made sure the connector at the headlight switch was snug and reconnected the brake light switch leads at the pedal. I am sure this will re occur at the worst possible time.... Like on my way to morro bay next week!
