The way "matching numbers" is used today, it can mean about anything to anyone…..so the seller MAY be correct. Don't know. But it didn't come from AOS with side pipes.

Looks like an older resto with mostly rattle can spray finishes on the chassis with something funky on the rear spring mounts. Repop KO's
Engine pad looks OK in my humble opinion...added sidepipes...it is what it is....trim tag pic would be nice.

Doesn't look like a bad car to me but it needs a $50,000 restoration to bring big money. People buy cars like that all the time with no idea what it costs to make them the way they really want them. Better to buy a freshly restored and judged car for $25,000 more.

Although if that car is completely original (i.e. a survivor with Benchmark quality), then it would be worth MORE preserved in its current condition. Maybe I don't know 66s as well, but if you compare Benchmark quality 67 BBs to completely restored jewel-like 67 BBs, the unrestored car will almost invariably be worth more.

I don't believe that the 3370 Holley carb is original to the 390!!!!! Also, this guy just wants to blow smoke when he says the block is a 4 bolt unit (all original)!!!!!!

However in the eBay ad, the Seller states that the car has been repainted.
Since the original paint is gone, the highest BG award it will qualify for is a "Survivor Bronze"
