Default storage tub area

Has anyone thought or done any modifications to increase the storage capability behind the seats ? Maybe raising it to the same height as the main deck. Would like to do something but nothing permanent.
Thanks for any thoughts

Roadster or coupe ? Chevrolet offered a tie-down strap set as a GM accessory when the Midyears were new. You do have to drill into the bulkhead to secure the brackets.

You can spray the outside (bottom) with areresol insulation foam and use it for you cooler. That way you can eliminate the carry on cooler you were going to bring anyway.

Maybe not what you are thinking, but you could ditch the spare tire and use the tire tub for storage. I have my tub removed and have never carried a spare. Flats and blow-outs are pretty rare. I carry a can of fix a flat incase I pick up a nail in the middle of nowhere.
