Seems very reasonable. I pay about that for a $40k (63 vert) stated value policy no mileage restriction. I cannot recall what my deductable is off hand.

Maybe I'm not reading this right but all I saw was your coverage, not your premium. Is it $300 premium? If so, what are your liability limits? Hard to compare quotes w/o knowing what your liabilty limits are.

Default Agreed value

The premium sounds about right as long as you get "agreed value" on the loss of the car. My deductable for loss is $0. Check around. Jerry

Check with Adam Boca at the National Corvette Museum. I just switched my classic car insurance to him, and my premiums went way down. HIs phone number is 877-678-7626.

Here's another plus one for the NCM insurance. Best rates I could find by far.

I have State Farm for all of my cars, including the old ones. Very reasonable rates. You might think about getting a quote. I asked my agent one time about how they could insure expensive Corvettes so cheaply. He laughed and said State Farm does very well because we are such a good risk. Few of us abuse these things and leaving them unattended gives us a heart attack. In other words, the owners of these old classics are very conscientious about being careful.

I just switched all my cars to NCM from American Collectors. There rates were getting outragous.Saved almost 800.00 a year with a less deductibale. Pay a little over 1100.00 for my 63 SWC, 67 427-435 and my 99 FRC

You may want to check with your State Farm agent to see how they define agreed value coverage. This is what my agent said just before I cancelled my State farm policy;

Hello Mr. Shapiro

This is what I received from our Underwriters on how the policy works:

If the vehicle qualifies for the antique classification it is called an Agreed Value policy. This means that in the event of a total loss, the client will be paid the Agreed Value (as long as the policyholder hasn’t let the car deteriorate in condition, remove parts, or have prior damage that we didn’t know about). The value is mainly determined by resources such as NADA and Old Car Price Guide. We will review the car’s current condition, then look up the values in those guides for that vehicle.

For pleasure use, its ok as long as you are driving it under 1000 miles a year.

Hope that helps!

Thank you,

I recommend Heacock Collector car insurance. It is located in Sebring, Florida. I have known Ford Heacock for......um....30 or 40 years
