bubba worked on my backup lights
So my backup lights I thought were "always on." Turns out, not true! They were only on in forward gears! Bubba, sometime in the last 50 years, had installed the switch with the rod armature facing DOWN at the trans. Yes, 180 degrees. I'm glad I have small hands (no comments) I was able to get it out around the exhaust with the car barely elevated, degunk it, fix the lousy pins, clean the contacts in the switch, flip the lever, and reinstall!
Now, my backup lights work as backup lights! It's the small victories that make me love this car. That and the aura of driving it. And how sexy it looks in my garage...
Thanks to the "search" button showing me what it SHOULD look like!

Darn tootin' as they say...I drive it! Drove it 550 plus miles home, mostly in the rain, in one day! These cars have got to get out and get exposure if people my age (34) and younger are going to keep interested enough to open their checkbooks. Nothing beats errands in the C2, but two kids under 5 mean I have to pick my times that I can only take one along. It puts my seven month old daughter to sleep, and you should see the looks I get pulling the car seat out of it at the hardware store!
