Default Hood paint on 66

How is the exterior color paint on edges of under the hood supposed to be and how far down hood etc for NCRS/Bloomington car

So on a green car Under the hood, Outer edge is green on all four sides with black in center of hood or green on 3 sides with black all way to edge on front edge near front bumper?

The black out was painted with the hood installed on the car so the front edge does not have black out.

Photo below shows a typical '65 original paint and blackout job, as it left St. Louis; 3 sides (sides and rear) were as shown, and there was very little primer, color, or blackout along the bottom of the front edge, as the top of the radiator support was in the way of spraying it.

Stupid question... If they were painted after installation why aren't the bolts black? Is it just age showing?

Yup - just age showing; they were blackout when the car left the plant.
