That's disgusting. How are you going to learn fiberglass repair with a body like that?
Very nice - about as nice as I've seen on this forum.

Hard to comprehend how a 51 year old Corvette never had any "action". What a great body to begin a resurrection. I know it's Easter, no pun intended,

With a "sweet" and "rare" body like that one, you just want to "gently caress" it all over so that if feels just like a nice, smooth woman's a..! Enjoy!!

All midwest cars look like this ... because we only drive them 3 months a year. Then store them after five years to keep the interior from fading.
Some call them barn finds.... we call them garage accents.

Thanks, To answer your questions,
I used captain Lee's stripper, and blocked all the red primer off with 220 wet sand paper, it's a good start for getting the slight waves out of the body.
It's a very late car (July) so most fiberglass is a light gray, and the doors are dark gray with the tops light gray. (funny looking very light color at both door handles, I will take a close up picture)
Is a very low mile 327 340 HP with a 4-speed all original parts.
I don't think I will make the vettes for pets show this year, I have a lot of other work I promised friends I would help them with.
The car came from Ohio. I am 3ed owner, 2nd owner bought it in 1966 and sold it to me in 2012.
It still had all of is original paint still on it with no non factory repairs, Paint was very bad no saving it. You can see some of the factory repairs here and there.

Lovely body...but wow - when I posted the job number off the body on my late SWC as shown in your next to last pic above I was blasted with hellfire on here and told there is no way in God's creation that was original and that somebody "reproduced" that number, blackout was done on the production line vs job number paint in so-and-so sequence, etc.. Hounded so badly I had the moderators delete the whole thread. A particular individual even "got into it" with the fella that sold me the car trying to make a fool of us both.
Since that time (last August) I've seen at least four SWCs whose numbers look EXACTLY as mine do including yours.
Congrats - very clean car.
If you could post a pic of the very upper front of the driver's door from a front shot I'd like to see how that was finished off. My late car has about 1/8" or more of door showing above the roof at that point at the very front lip. Which I'm also told was original fit from the factory if the "grinder guy" on the production line got lazy !

I will get a shot of that, the doors where never off this one. After cleaning I am bolting the car back on the frame before removing the doors to finishing the stripping. Then refit them again before paint. Here is the # from the back. Look at the 3 it looks like two different people wrote the #'s
