with will have "--" were the paint code is. if the owner wanted to have the car judged it must be as delivered. so primer it will. there is a forum member from Oh that had one and the car is in the MF dobbins book

Safety Car
I am pretty sure that the Ohio owner has had this car in his possession more than once in its lifetime.....

OTOH, it would save a lot of time and money on waxing .

Back in the 70"s. there was a body shop in the DC area, that did a lot of custom paint work. They were tied into a Corvette club (Sting of the Rays?) and a Chevy dealer, in DC. The dealer ordered a number of Corvettes in primer, for members of the club, and the shop would custom paint them. Those cars had "PRIME" listed as the paint code.
I do agree though, if you brought a car to NCRS for judging, that had PRIME as the paint code, it would have to be primer, or would get a full deduct for paint.

Speedboat racer Bob Nordskog ordered and took delivery of his early SWC in primer, and that's what its data plate indicates. It was immediately taken to Barris Kustom City to be modified into the famous, show-winning "Asteroid" custom, recently restored.

Trim tag is blank where the paint code would go in 66.

I am attracted to this color combo, but I would not do it to my 66.
Here's a 65 Ermine White with burgundy interiors.
A Tuxedo Black and Bright Blue 65:
A 67 Black/Saddle:
66 Silver on Silver:
I always thought that black with silver interiors was a very classy combo and you don't see a whole lot of those around. I can't find a decent photo, though.

Dark blue with red is always a winner, IMO. A dealer in Fort Lauderdale was selling a silver vert with red guts recently that looked spectacular, too.

Silver with red is a favorite of mine too. Had a 96 CE with red interior. I liked the split personality nature of it. With tinted windows, top on, the car looked like a silver vette. take the top off and it really popped.
