Yeah, a real good deal. If it spent its life in Atlanta, maybe the rust isn't too bad underneath. Got to be easily be worth 11K in parts.

Might be suspect. Googled the number. A cached Facebook page came up. Number listed then broken english claiming to be from Haiti looking for "companionship".

I would link to it but there are some other unsavory "lookers" listed there too.

I actually spoke w/ the guy- he had a deposit from some guy in New York. I told him I had cash--semi local ( less than a couple hundred miles away) and would be glad to purchase it. He told me that he couldn't do it to the other guy. So- I think it was a legit deal.

The Google thing must be an anomaly----good to hear it's legit. You never know, he might call you back and it'll be yours. Fingers crossed.

Man what a smokin deal!!! Easily worth twice that and would probably bring more if you could prove it was a true big block car. I would probably have ripped my back pocket off trying to get my wallet out for that one.

Same guy had a '62 for sale a week or so ago for similar money. Lucky I'm too far away to deal with the logistics. In my opinion- tooo good to be true. Either someone got a real deal or screwed. Bob

It was on Chattanooga Craigslist last Friday. I called and talked to the guy and I thought it was a scam because he said the car was in Mobile and he had it on Craigslist 500 miles away. He was not a very personable guy, I told him I had one like it and he accused me of not being a real buyer, that I only called him to talk about the car, and he already had enough friends! I told him if it was a real car, I was a real buyer, but I needed to talk to him about the car to determine that it was real. He said he had to go. End of conversation. He also hinted around about sending a deposit to hold the car. Beware of this scam turning up on other Craigslists!

Just so everyone knows this guy IS a scam. The police have a lot of reports of him scamming tens of thousands. He does this with Corvettes only. All projects. I spoke to him as well. Have fun with him and ask him how you can secure. He will guide you to put a $1000 deposit via Western Union. Tell him you are doing now and then give him an incorrect number to claim his money. Make him waste his time. He has ads all over the US on Craigslist. Click on the following:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site...org+3345966804

He has postings in Las Vegas, Delaware, Atlanta everywhere. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY.

Look at the google link and you will be disgusted with him. Worthless bag of crap.

Thanks - Matt

Thanks Matt-

I said I wanted to SEE the car and had cash in hand- that's probably why he told me it was sold!!! I did a google search on the phone number - and it is a landline- not a cell- making me think it was more legit.

I think that is a great idea to waste his time at the local Western union.

Great idea to mess w/ him...

Phone: (334) 596-6804. 1208 Southland Dr, Dothan, Houston County, AL-36301. Cellular: No mobile line available. Email: No email available. Website: ...

Here's his house-

I see another 61/62 in the pic as well, googling the ph # also shows several old porsches for cheap..

Yes. I forgot to mention that he has another buddy that works with him. That is his number. Same Alabama 334 area code. One more thing to mention is that he will text you an address to make you feel more comfortable knowing you think you know where he lives. He finds houses that are for rent so that if someone is poking around, they will notice that the home is not in their name but will find history of house rentals on that address so it does not seem shady.

Everyopne should mess with him. As my son would say, idiot jerkfaces. :-)

That car is easily worth 11k in parts. You could sell that to anyone close to you and dont have to post it 500 miles away. Thats his game, post it far away so you cant come see it and send him a deposit. The pic of his house is going to turn into a lot better pic if people keep sending him cash. IF ITS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE ITS A SCAM UNLESS YOU CAN TOUCH IT.
