You never know
Yesterday while I was checking out at the grocery, the clerk ask what the letters on my jacket stood for. I said it's the National Corvette Restorers Society. Her: (laughing) Is that for real? Me: Yes, it was formed back in '74. Her: We have a Corvette (thinking late model) or I should say my husband and his mother do but it's in our garage. It's a nineteen sixty....... SEVEN. Me: REALLY. Her: It needs some work but it does run. He starts it every now and then. It sounds good. It has a four fifty........four? Me: You mean a four twenty seven? Her: YES. Me: (holy cow) Have they had it a lont time? Her: YES, his parents bought it NEW. Me: Help, I've fallen and I can't get up! By now another lady is waiting to check out, so I handed her my card and said if he needs help with it or would like to sell it, give me a call. Her: I will, you know things happen for a reason sometime. I hope she's right. I may need something else from the store today.

Well - don't be surprised if you ever see the car and it turns out to be a Buick Riviera or some such. I had a guy wanting me to come by to check out his 427ci, all original 67 split window coupe. Didn't bother...
