Was at the Houston auction yesterday for the Daytona blue with red interior! The 63 split! Dropped out of the bidding when it got to a point I felt it wasn't worth it. Ended up a no sale with a high bid of $150,000! Nice car, but I don't know!

Extremely nice Fuelie. Did you wander over to the Bid Goes On to see what it would take?

Not $55,000 nicer!! IMO. But I do like the rare color combination! My 427 is blue/red and my daily driver has red interior so I wanted the car, but not bad enough!

Yep--- nice yellow coupe my buddy was bidding on that went to $130,000 and didn't sell! Unless it sold afterward! I checked it pretty good for him and it was real! In fact had the tank sticker!! Had real red lines too--I think they were red lines-- but they were real nos bias tires!

That car was in Kissimee as well when I was there & no sale---Makes ya say HUMM----

Default 67 Grissom car

Sure LT-1 how do we know ??---PLUS THE FACT the car is 50 years old & there seems to be to many "stories" floating around now.

Plus---color changes----not a good thing when you want to have your car judged ! NCRS doesn't care if it was owned by Moses , they want to see a car that is the same color it was born with.
BTW --any clue as to what the real colors of this car are supposed to be ??

I wonder if that was my old car. Can't be that many Daytona Blue/red 63 fuelie coupes out there. I always thought it was a very strange combination.

Maybe Grissom had more than one 67, but the one he drove to KSC daily was very different.

This car came from California and was red/red and NOM. Jack of vintage vettes restored it.

The car was in the Seattle area for many years before the guy in California bought it.
