C1 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
Not bad looking for a hotrod coupe. I could do without the tail light treatment though! And I don't think the shifter is long enough...hehehe...
What's under the hood? :

Thanks for the comments.
Yes it is a 64. It is in amazingly great original condition except for the mods.
It has a 350, 300hp crate motor that has less than 1000 mile on it. My friend helped the PO install it many years ago.
Under the car is excellent as is the interior. Everything works except the clock.
Ray is correct, they are 1963-64 Buick Riviera tail lamps.
This appears to be a very low mileage car.
I will drive it this summer or until I can find the 'right' coupe for me.

I think it's not a bad looking car for what it is. Looks pretty straight, but I'd quit using the word original in the description with the 67 big block hood and rally wheels, 65 seats, Buick taillights, 350 motor, Hurst shifter, fender flares, spoiler, vents deleted, non original color, etc. I'd just say it's a restomod, or a modified 64.

If you bought it cheap ( have no idea what cheap is with todays prices ), runs and drives acceptable .... why change a thing. It may not be original to you but I bet it was special to someone else. Put some miles on and enjoy it. Bet it gets more attention than the c-1.

I wouldn't use the term cheap but it was a lot less than what 'basket cases' go for.
I am not going to change anything and will drive it this summer until something else comes along.
Thanks,
Joe

Wow and a coupe too...
You are going to find out working on these cars is a world away from C1s.
I think a C1 dash cluster pull is a walk in the park after doing my '63....

Frankie, lets hope I don't have to find out!
I have worked on a lot of C2's and C3's over the years. I worked for Chevy in the early 70's and did all the Vette's that came into the shop.
My son owns a 64 and most of my car buddies own C2's that I work on.
