Default How Old Are You?

We've seen that most of us here bought our first Corvette when we were very young, but for most of us that was a long, long time ago. I thought it'd be interesting to see what the age is of our membership.

I'll go first: I'm 67 so I fall into the 61-70 range.

I'll be 67 next month, hopefully. I bought the 67 in 1968 when I came home from the Army, the 62 I bought a couple of years.

By October 17th, 1963 half of the first two generations of Corvettes were built. If you got hooked when most of us did your over 60. I bet most of us were over 50 when we got the first one. There are plenty of guys that have been into it from the start and many are the experts giving us advice.
I was 53 when I bought it and 60 when I could drive it. I'll be 69 next month.

I'll take that bet, Larry. Actually, most of us acquired our first Vette when we were teenagers or in our twenties back in the 1950s, '60s and '70s. Here are the stats I compiled in another thread:

<20 = 48 people
20-30 = 74 people
31-40 = 13 people
41-50 = 7 people
51-60 = 7 people
61-70 = 6 people
Over 70 = 1

I'm 29 but started working on A 67 at age 8 and bought my first vette a 94 coupe for my daily driver at age 23. But bought my Chevelle as a project car at 20.

When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now

Will you still be sending me a valentine, birthday greetings, bottle of wine?

If I'd been out 'til quarter to three, would you let me drive

Will you still need me, will you still feed me when I'm sixty-four?

I'm 68. I've had my first Corvette for 2 years. Could never afford one when I was younger. I've had my 2nd Corvette for about a month (actually it belongs to my wife).

Wow, only 2 members under 41 so far.

I am 61 now but will file for my SS check in July and when I turn 62 in October I will get about $0.01 of all the money I got to pay in for my 47 years of work.

If I'd been able to keep my money to invest on my own instead of putting it into SS for all those years, I might have been able to buy a Corvette a lot sooner than I did <LOL>.

Bought my first Corvette in 1963, a 60 FI that already had a replacement engine. It was a new 327, that I cared about back then
