I got my first one when I was 19 in 1983. It was a 1969 t-top car. Prior to that I was surrounded by everyone else's Corvettes, especially my mom's '59 that another forum member own's now.

Mods, if you're monitoring this thread, in only a few hours we've had 97 respondents to this poll. Shouldn't it be made a sticky?

Almost 60.
Bought my 64 when I was 20 and she was 10.
Gordy, the guy I bought her from, was getting married and had to let her go.
Just starting to put her back in shape.

Reading this i started to wonder why the 20-40 years old's are pretty much none existent
i would bet its because they own C-3,4,5 or 6 and dont visit the C1&C2 forum

Purchased my first Corvette ('62) at 18 and the most recent ('13 427 vert) at 66. I've owned my '66 since I was 22.

Bought mine at 27, 33 now. That graph is shaping up pretty much how I expected.

I’m 68. Bought my first ’67 when I was 23 – had just returned from Viet Nam with a pocket full of money. My current ’67 is my eighth Corvette. The majority were new or late model until this one. Have owned two ‘67’s, ’71, ’80, ’87, ’93, ’02 and an ’09. Wish I would have kept all of them!

If there had been the internet back in the late '60s/early '70s, and if there had been a C1/C2 forum then, the graph would've looked very different, with all the members being in their teens, twenties and early thirties.

64 going on 24.....I think. .. Seems the mind defaults to '24'....no matter what the license says. .. .. Peeling, squealing rubber..........once you do it you never forget how!
