Short water pump on C1?
Hello, I am looking to use some aftermarket alternator brackets on my 56 although most brackets are made for a long water pump. I know these cars all had short pumps originally, just wanted to know if anyone has used a long water pump on a C1 or is there a clearance issue with either the upper or lower pulley?
Thanks
Thanks

There is no need to use a long pump there are brackets available for short pumps..
If you switch to a long pump you must change all your pulleys.

I'm building a 350 zz430 clone. Wanted to use a long pump if I could to have more options with brackets and pulleys. I think there is room between fan and radiator to use long pump just not sure if lower pulley on balancer would hit any part of front crossmember or steering
