Default Americana Show Alert!!!

Guys,

Just saw this over @ Corvetteblogger!!!

Velocity’s Americarna wraps up season 1 this Tuesday, March 18th with an episode dedicated to America’s sports car, the Corvette. NASCAR team owner and avid Corvette collector Rick Hendrick will guest host this week’s show while country music superstar Brad Paisley also makes an appearance. This week we even get to see inside Hendrick’s massive car museum.

8 PM Eastern time . . . I'll be glued to the tube!!! Enjoy!!!

Tom

Those that missed it need not sweat. The highlight of the show was seeing Harley Earl's office.

That had to be the most boring coverage of anything Corvette I've ever watched. I don't like Brad Paisley and I certainly don't care to listen to he and Rick Hendrick blather on about the Corvettes they've owned. Especially the late model cars.

You mean to tell me RH owns a couple hundred Corvettes and doesn't have at least one that he can fire up and make some noise and tire smoke? An entire episode devoted to Corvettes and not one driving/riding scene? Americana is on my DVR's regular line-up so I'm something of a fan. However, I feel you can't talk about Corvettes and not have some performance footage. IT'S A FREAKING PERFORMANCE CAR NOT JUST A TROPHY SO MAKE IT PERFORM!

There's a lot of different directions this episode could have gone. Why not do some coverage on Guldstrand's past and present cars (the green coupe). We could go on and on about the exploits of Corvette both past and present. But crap, let's not just talk about it let's put the machine to work doing what it's supposed to.

I have sent to Mr. Hendricks a letter informing him that I am requesting to be adopted. My wife agrees, but I have not yet received any response back from 'Dad' yet. I can only assume his attorneys are working on it.

I enjoyed seeing Harley's office as it still exists..
