Default Found a spare...jack recommendations?

Hey all,
After only 10 years of driving my '65 around without a spare, I decided it was time (read pushing my luck) to pop for a spare. As used by many other members here, I got a GM space saver 155/90/16 to put in my tub. My hope is that I will have enough room to put a jack in the tub with the spare. Maybe a few small tools too??? I'm hoping to save interior room in the car for stuff for travel. I'm looking for suggestions on jacks. Anyone stowing a jack with their spare ??

Coupe/Convertible?

On the convertible, they put it in the storage area under the masonite board behind the seats. If you have a convertible, why wouldn't you just keep it where they put it when the factory built it?

Not sure where they put it on the coupes. Same location?

Not sure there would be room in the spare tub for the jack.

All mid years except big tankers had the jack behind the drivers seat in the storage bins.

The man states he wants to save his interior space for other things. Not sure why it's important to tell him about original storage options.

You can buy a scissors jack at Wallmart for about $12, the one I bought for my '62 was branded Delco.
It should fit in the center of your spare.

I guess the issue would be getting the tub down - on my '63 the jack handle is used to a) unscrew the cover retaining bolt, and then, b) leveraged into the tub cover to lower it down. You will have to store the handle separately somewhere outside the tub or have some other means to lower the tub.
