Default Plan of Attack for Front Suspension

Part 2 of my suspension restoration on my 66. Let me know if this plan will work in installing all my front suspension items:

1)Install Upper and Lower Ball Joints to A-Arms
2)Spring
3)Attach Steering Knuckle/Hub to Upper and Lower Ball Joints
4)Attach Tie Rod to Hub
5)Torque Lower A-Arm Cross Shaft Bolts
5)Torque Anti-Sway Bar when on Ground

Thanks in advance.

Don't forget new rubber bump stops. Two per side.

The upper and lower control arm shaft bushing retainer bolts also MUST be torqued with the suspension at normal design ride height, as shown in the Assembly Manual.

I guess I missed that in the manual. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Updated order is:

1)Install Upper and Lower Ball Joints to A-Arms (torque bolts)
2)Install Spring
3)Attach Steering Knuckle/Hub to Upper and Lower Ball Joints (torque castle nuts, add cotter pins)
4)Attach Tie Rod to Hub (torque castle nut, add cotter pin)
5)Torque Lower A-Arm Cross Shaft Bolts when at ride height
5)Torque Anti-Sway Bar when at ride height

Sound correct?

Don't forget the UPPER control arm cross shaft bushing retainer bolts at ride height.

Well I didn't untorque those, but I will check to make sure they are correct when I do the lower.

Be prepared to drill out the ball joint rivets, (if original), and possibly drill out the holes slightly larger to accommodate the new BJ bolts. Also while your in there, check the brake calipers and lines for any signs of leaks.

I am good with all the dis-assembly and drilling. Just wanted to get feedback on my order of putting everything back together. Also, purchased new calipers with orings since my old ones leaked and new rubber brake lines as well
