Got all my front and rear suspension work, exhaust manifolds, pipes, and valve cover work done today. Turned the key and let it crank for a couple of seconds, pumped the gas a few times and it fired right up and went to high idle like it was supposed to (had never done it before). All turned out well with no leaks and the new suspension was way better than the previous tired stuff. I will have to get a front end alignment, but I was expecting that. All in all, turned out better than thought it would since this was my first big project on the '66.

These threads are kinda funny. My Dad and I sold tons of cars to sailors in Norfolk, Va. who parked their old '60s cars on the piers beside their ships back then. After being at sea for 6-9 months and the cars sitting out in the weather, snow, wind, and, salt spray...the number one problem was stolen batteries. We'd give em another one, stick it in the car, crank it up and they'd drive home.
