Correct Color for 340/360 Motor 1963
I looked into the 1963-64 Judging book to find something that I find hard to believe. It states that the 340/360 HP motor in the 1963-64 car has the intake manifolds painted silver.
So: Cylinder Case, Cylinder Heads, Water Pump, Engine Balancer, & Exhaust Manifolds including all bolts, washers, & French locks are installed and painted Chevy Orange.
AND: Aluminum Manifolds & exposed Cylinder Heads are painted Silver.
Can anyone tell me what paint to use for silver & if it is a big deal to paint the exhaust manifolds orange? I would have never guested that the aluminum is painted silver. I also find it hard to believe that the alum. intake for the 360 HP motor is to be painted silver. Wow.

I think you are misunderstanding.
The 340/360 intake manifolds are unpainted aluminum.
The small exposed surface of the cylinder head (between the aluminum intake and the aluminum valve cover) is painted silver.
There may be some silver overspray on the intake.

"Aluminum manifolds & the exposed surface of the Cylinder heads are painted silver. The coverage of the silver paint may or may not include the entire aluminum manifold."
I don't want to paint any of it, but I would like it correct. I also don't want to paint he exhaust manifolds orange. But I want them correct.
Thoughts?

If you want this aspect of your engine to be "correct" paint the area of the heads between the valve covers and the intake manifold as Rich Yanulis described. Exhaust manifolds were painted orange with the rest of the iron of the engine at Flint, and the orange burned to a black or grey coating on the manifolds except for the very ends. So, squirt some orange on the ends of your exhaust manifolds and you will be close.
