carb wrench
Hello everyone. What do you think of the price of the latest L 88?
I have an L 71 and my question is, is there a wrench out there that can tighten the fuel inlet fitting without taking carbs off? It would be nice to hold that inlet fitting while you are tightening the 3/8 gas line nut while all 3 carbs are on the engine. Thanks John

Mac tools makes the special tool you are looking for! When I sold my 67 400hp, I gave it to a mechanic friend of mine. I am sorry I do not have the part number for that tool? It does allow you to tighten the fuel lines without removing the carbs!!!

D. I called Mac tools and the tec support team didn't have a glue what I was talking about. He did say if I came up with a part number it would help. Thanks for your help. John

Thanks everyone for all the insight on tightening the fuel line inlet fittings. Nurvus got me doing research on Mac tools. In the 60s they made a special angled wench to tighten the 1 inch carb inlet fitting with engines having tri power, without taking the carbs off. It's called a Rochester carburetor thin 4 way angle wrench # s141. Mac tool still has 51 in stock. John
