A little information should accompany a statement like that.

Do you think thats a $47500 car? I saw that car in Wash State CL 6 months ago but if you feel free to buy it go ahead. I will stand behind the statement its a scam.

More hard information is needed to understand why this car is being labelled as a scam.

Not saying that it isn't, but the contrary information to date does not support the assertion.

Paul,
I just called the number, he said he's in High Point and would get off work at 7 if I wanted to come look at the car. He also said several people had called and were coming at 7 to look. He said first one with the money got the car.

Yep, Exactly the same here, and when challenged to be there in 15 min said someone else had already sent the money. Its a SCAM.

I told him I'd call back tomorrow to see if he still had the car and he said that would be fine, but car may be gone by then. Sounds ok on the phone. He didn't try to talk me into anything. If I were really in the market, I might go by and look.

If the seller actually wrote the CraigsList listing he knows it is worth lots more then he is asking.
I would bet he copied the info and posted it.
I guess time will tell.

For a guy to write what he did in the add, he knew exactly what he had,NO ifs ands or buts about it. He knew the Corvette world and could have called Proteam or Mershons and could have sold it in a second. I remember a couple guys getting scammed on a 66 project on here. Walmart sells throw away phones to make things easier. Jack, if you still have his number try it and see what happens.

Ad listing looks too cogently written for this 'rare example' to be priced as it is.

Those are some pretty big Norway Spruces in the background for High Point NC.
