Default 1961 Dual-Point Distributor Lubrication

What is the best specific lubrication procedure for the internals of this distributor (a 270 HP 2x4)?

I believe the only lubrication required is on the cam.
There is usually a felt wick to which a drop or 2 of oil is all that is required.

The external oil tube on stock distributors provides 'internal' lubrication and requires a few drops of motor oil every 5,000 miles according to the ST-12.

A little dieelectric grease from the electronic supply store (non conductive) I also have some in my plug boots!!!!!! Or the Volkswagen guys with selling a little OO9 mechanical advance distributor sell a little grease packet for that purpose. I got rid of things that ride on lobes, except for the cam!!!!! Thus I have magnetic pickups on my stuff!!!!!! I haven't had to grease that up anymore!

The oiler tube with the GITS cap in Frankie's photo in post #3 lubricates the upper mainshaft bushing - there's a tubular wick extending from the bottom of that tube that puts oil on the bushing. Lubrication of the points is a drop or two of distributor cam grease when you change the points or set the dwell.

you pick on me about the fabled 450 hp 427. You have a working tech encyclopedia brain!!! And I mean that as a compliment!!!!!
