Thanks John. With that much caulk it would seem like it would be a messy job to get the molding secured to the clips. What caulk should I use for this? Do you have a 3M part number?

SS409,
I'll chime in here and tell you that you want 3 M 08609, Window-Weld, Super-Fast Urethane. This product is used after the windshield with a new weatherstrip is installed. This product will harden up and become the "glue" between your rubber and glass. This is a urethane. I also used strip caulk, 3 M Strip Calk 08578 to also seal the stainless on the windshield frame itself.
Here's a link to my DIY windshield install:

Good luck!

I don't know that I'd use the WindoWeld urethane - when it cures it may be next to impossible to get the reveal moldings off. 3M #08509 Automotive Bedding & Glazing Compound works well for this application.
