Just got NCRS docs telling me my SWC was delivered new to Big Four Chevrolet in St Louis, 2400 Jefferson Street.

Looked it up and it began in 1928 and stopped selling cars in 1975. Now its a trendy bar or something with a rooftop access.

Any of you long-time enthusiasts in the area ever hear of the place? Offer any info? Have my original paperwork in a shoebox?

The last memory I have of Big Four Chevrolet was when they went out of business in the late 1980's or early 1990's? They were located on Hwy 159 in Collinsville, Illinois. I think Jack Schmidt Ford/Lincoln currently operates out of their old dealership?

I remember the name Big Four and actually think they were located at Gravois and Jefferson. I think they got the name Big Four because they sold three other GM brands, not sure if it was Olds or Cadillac they didn't sell.
There was also a large Chevrolet dealer on South Grand across from where Sears used to be close to Chippewa st ( Route 66), can't remember the name.
I bought all my Chevelles from Fred Broeg on Lemay Ferry in South County in the 60S. Pontiacs in the70s from Vincel Pontiac On Kings highway. The switched to Mopar until 2008 and went back to Chevrolet and that Chevrolet dealer, Boemler Chevrolet is now out of business.

I wonder if that was a "sister store" of the main one in St Louis?
