Default Sure the C7 is a Modern Retro... Of a Rambler???

I was at the auto last Friday and got to see a couple of the new C7s up close. When I stood behind the car, its '65-'67 retro heritage was instantly evident to me.

Unfortunately, they "retroed" the Rambler Marlin.

In fact, it looks like the Marlin on Transformer steroids. But don't take my word for it... Judge for yourself.

I see a lot more of the Rambler back there than I see of the Corvette.

Great, another C7 bashing thread, when there are already so many on the C7 side of the forum.

PS. Sorry Jeff, the tackiness of that car just brings out the worst in me, such a missed opportunity...

Paul nobody owes any apologies to me, I don't care if people like the new car or not. I do tire of the whining, even more so when it's in our forum. The C7 forum is the best place for the complaint department.

I whine in the hope Jeff that that if enough of us whine someday they'll clean it up so I can buy one.
You are probably right though my friend, this is probably not the right forum for it...

Not that the C7 is my favorite vette, but even when my 1963 C2 came out in Dec 1962,(especially) the convertible), people loved it as much as people hated it cuz of the drastic style change from the venerable all American hotrod look to a racing style coupe. My grandfather used to say he hated the C2 at first, but it grew on him in time, especially as the model morphed to the BB 427 series later on. Leave the C7 crowd alone...in 50 years their cars will be just as desirable as we feel ours are from the 60s today.

Paul, we aren't the target demographic. Go over the C7 forum and post a thread asking about putting chrome wheels on your C7 and you'll quickly find out how young the target is - and it ain't us.

I agree, the semi-regular C7 bashing sessions in this forum lately are completely irrelevant to this group. The C7 forum is the place to have these discussions.
