ORPHAN VIN-stamped parts and documents- list here
#541
[QUOTE=vettebuyer6369;1584996787]Member Chip6565 recently asked the question whether the Corvette Forum should open up a section for "orphan" documents and parts with VINs- ala NCRS' site.
I picked up on this as I thought it was a great idea years ago, and others did too.
What we are going to do to start with is start a thread up in the Sticky area to allow members with documents and parts with VIN numbers to match those up with current owners of the car they belong to.
Please note that this is NOT a place to list "Items Wanted" or "looking for a car" unless you have VIN stamped items to match to it.
This section will a place where people who have items with VINs and are looking for the cars to match them to.
Administration tells me if this gets busy, they will look at opening a complete section dedicated to Orphan items of all generations. As of today, I am opening these sections in C1/2 and C3 forums.
Thanks very much and please participate if you would like. Feel free to comment or ask questions as well.
So, if you have documents pertaining to a C1 or C2 Corvette that has a VIN, or original parts with VINs stamped on them and you would like to use this forum to try to reunite them with the owners, please post your information here. All arrangements, payment, and whatever related details are involved will be a private issue between the parties. (Of course we would LOVE to hear any success stories that result!)
[/Dear Sirs, what i wonderful idea, Ihope that I will find anything that matches my VIN. thank you

Members… Every once in awhile I have to make this post in this section. Ive had to remove several posts.
In reviewing the last couple pages, we have had all sorts of posts going off-track. Summarizing:
-Please dont post various question about, well, anything. These posts go in the General discussion area. This is not a chat thread.
-Please dont post engines that are for a Camaro or anything that is not stamped with a Corvette VIN
-As always please do not post “looking for” a VIN here… such posts will completely derail this Sticky if posted en mass.
Thanks very much.
