Default Some nice Vettes at a local show (pics)

Hi,
On Sunday we had one of the last car shows of the season, beautiful day but a bit of fall chill in the wind off the water.
Within the larger show, a local Corvette club held a Corvette event, all in all 88 Vettes, some nice cars for sure.

Paul

A certain someone got a little chilly, toasty warm in the sun with the hardtop on though.

Not mine; best guesses what it is and why?

Nice show and great photos. Thanks for sharing.

Send some of that fall chill this way. Mid 90's today with the South Georgia humidity off the charts! LOL

Is photo #22 a Maserati or a DB or what? I haven't seen that type of car at a show since the 80s. I used to have a model of one in my collection as a kid (along with all things 60s). Thanks for sharing your day with us. These cars make today's automobiles look so boring.

Addition to last post...how small this world is...my room mate here in Afghanistan just saw the photos and said that's his backyard, fishes Owasco Lake regularly. Wow. Thanks for making his day and mine. (He's real American hero, by the way.)

I have had a couple od Beaumonts. One '67 and one '69. Both were SD 396.
Great cars. As my American friends would say "what kind of Sheevelle is that"

Thanks for thee kind words guys, it was nice to see that sunshine and all those great cars in such a nice setting.

The car in the pic is a 70 or 71 Monteverdi 375.
Monteverdi was Swiss car builder, he assembled the cars in Switzerland using Chrysler 440 drive trains, German custom frame, and the body was aluminum Italian built Frua designed.
Very classy looking even today.

Lots of great Corvettes and with you being close to Canada you get to see a lot of Canada only cars.
Its been a long since I've seen a 75 Laguna SS.

Sheeze. no wonder it's getting so hard to find a decent classic Corvette around here. they've all been taken to Canada.

Looks like a terrific spot for a show, with some beautiful cars.

We have a winner!

Third gear out of a TKO 600 from my buddie's 572 750HP/750 ft/lb super clean Chevelle quasi sleeper.
He took it to the track for the first time, was running drag radials, no spin in third and all that torque just sheared the teeth right off.
As he explains it; unlike first and second, the mesh on third is only about 75%, just couldn't take the torque and that was the result.

Valleyfield Mike, right down at the border near Malone NY for our friends who don't know the area.

We have to have something to work on up here to get through the long winters Russ!
