The car is beautiful and excellent taste in color! Enjoy that car.

As for your numbers matching issue. No big deal except if you see someone with one of these in hand, put the pedal to the medal and don't look back.

They were SO good when I bought my '61 in South Carolina. Same company 5 years later and things seem to have gone to guano.

Poor communications, argumentative, what-have-you. They are about 1/2 day from getting fired and I'll start over. Grrrrr....

Beautiful Daytona car....some say it's too dark for them; I like it a lot...nearly bought one last month!
Hope that clears up, Frankie. Ive found some of the shippers Ive been happy with in the past are actually Independant Contractors working under a company banner, so they next guy you get might not be anywhere near as good as the last guy...

One reason I was thrilled to find this car 90 minutes away and have my buddy pick it up for me.

Yeah, I like the fact that its nearly black- black was my other choice, but this has a neat bit of color pop to it.

Cool, Saddle really compliments that look. After all my searching, I found this car reasonably close to home too.
History is awesome too.

Not sure if i mentioned I grew up in Hyde Park.

My wife and I were watching last year's premiere of "Boston's Finest" (the reality cop show) and almost every call was in Hyde Park... she looked at me and said "THAT"S where you grew up???"

I said it didn't look like that in the 70's...

Steve... you should have told your wife Hyde Park has cleaned up since the 70's when you lived there.

Beautiful car, great that you were able to find one not too far away. Best of luck with it!

I'm curious about the overall purpose of the parts you're ordering. Are you replacing worn out items, incorrect items, or going down a different road (resto rod)?

Steve,

Because I have followed your postings over time, I will "assume" that you do not want to get too far underwater with this car.

I an curious, if you already have a 3 page shopping list.......
What are some of the major expense items needed for your car?

The majority are fairly unecessary, no-rush cosmetic items. Incorrect unmarked hoses. Wrong clamps. The engine compartment needs a freshening. I find that sort of detailing to be fun. Some interior stuff as well. Not a ton of $ items.

The most expensive? Probably correct seat belts and a newer glove box door. The door I have is OK, but a new one would look great and I can sell the old one. Needs a correct steering wheel, too.

Exotic Auto Transport HQ'ed about 4 miles from my house. Looks they got their act together now but it took a nasty phone call from me.

The only big upgrade I'm thinking about is some repro bolt on knock off wheels. I just think they look bitchin'.

One more question about these pages - do they have dollar amounts next to each item, and do you leave them in open view around the house?
