All things being equal (past frame off, knock off's, side exhaust, p/s, 327/350) etc.between a 65, 66 & 67 coupe except the 67 doesn't have factory a/c (has no aftermarket a/c either) the 65 & 66 do have factory a/c, price for either one is 56,000 which one would u buy & why.

That's an easy one.
Without question, the 65.
No better mid year vette.
You're welcome.

Buy the one in sweet silver
My restored '66 L-79 4 sp with a/c, ps, KH ko's and side pipes. Ironically, the seller was asking 56k too when I bought her 4 years ago. If no silvers, get either the '65 or '66.
They made only 492 L-79 coupes with a/c in 1966 and even fewer in 1965. I get a lot of offers because of the a/c and the color. It took me 3 full years to find her.

personal opinion; 1967's will hold value better, but I personally hate like the light disrupting the rear above the license plate (looks added on though from factory), all else I like the 1967 seats and interior better (slight difference). I like the knock-off wheels (color) better on the 65, but hate the door panels and gages. I also like the side vents from the 65-66 better than the 67. Hood is a toss up; I dislike flat hoods, so it comes down to whether a stinger hood is more acceptable on the 1967 (even on a SB that never came with it), or looks out of place on a 65-66. But since we're talking SB, I'd go with the 67.

Agree with Zoomin: if you need a/c, get the one with a/c. If not......are they really all exactly the same condition, color, etc?? Maybe one of them drives a LOT better than the others.....

Since it is a personal question, I would get the '66. I just feel it is a little more refined. A/C is great! So is under the car exhaust for those that are not yet hearing impaired. The parking brake in between the seats is not as neat as the earlier set up.

66 was the zeinith of that series and is a cleaner looking car without the roof vents.
In a ragtop either the 65 or 66 would be a good choice.
67 plastic console and parking brake crowding the interior and ugly back-up lights.
