Default 1967 Tri-Power Leaking Gas

Hi, I am new to this forum and apologize if I am not doing it correctly. I have a 67 Vette, L71 motor. I'm having a problem with the gas lines leaking in the fitting between the gas line and the carburator. I tighten it, run it for awhile, put 40 or 50 miles on it and it leaks again. All three carburators have been rebuilt. I was wondering if there is more effective seal that is thicker than the thin one provided with the rebuild kit.

Thanks!

John

Alot of the leaks are from the seam on the lines, they leak, try a new set of lines from another supplier.

Mine will dribble a little unless they're tighter than hell. I've heard there are some brass flare washers that are available but I've never seen a set or know anyone that's used them. It could also be leaking at the bowl inlet.

Do you have stainless or regular steel lines?

buy some copper flare washers and the soft copper will seal against the hard steel lines and steel fittings.. the stainless steel lines are worst for leaking because a lot of them have poor flares. https://www.google.com/search?q=copp...w=1162&bih=612
