Default C2 Rear Shock Installation

I'm thinking of replacing the rear shocks on my 67.
Which direction is the Rear Shock Lower Cupped Washer supposed to face?
Concave side against the shock, or away from the shock against the nut?

Thanks

Convex toward rubber, concave toward nut.

Concave side faces out towards the nut.

Thanks guys. My washers have been facing the wrong way for the last 20 years or so.
