FOUR were stolen, sounds like Mafia or something, maybe FBI will get involved.

That's why speed in contacting his reps is so important. The media cannot open a single container in the long beach port, nor at the Mexican border. The FBI, homeland security and FBI organized crime task force can.

You, I or the owners of the cars may not be able to get them to do it, but pointed questions coming from DC or Sacramento about what, exactly, is being done on the case might be able to.

I'd even look up customs at the Mexican boarder and LB port, and see if they have fax numbers. If they do, FAX them photo's of all 4 cars with the details of their thefts, and just header it with, 'BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR". Can't hurt.

Wow! What a way to make the New York Times!

Nice thing is that between my wife and I, plus hundreds of supporters, the message is getting out there!

The local newspaper here in Placerville (Mountain Democrat), has it on the front page!

Man......at least we're giving it a hell of a chance to be recognized!

Have you thought about posting the information on Craigslist and stating there's a reward?? You'll get a lot of idiots contacting you, but the right person could be out there too...

Druggies have too much cash - that problem - they don't need additional problems with law from stealing cars!

I am wondering how the heck someone steals cars from the Mecum auctions lot?

Also what is in the contract for auction - and if Mr. Mecum will have to write some checks!?

So sorry, You might also try a little known site called "digitalcorvettes.com".
Maybe it can't be registered with a stolen vin# so I will keep a look out at the Monterey area autocross events.
If it was taken in conjunction with the other two stolen Chevys they may not have had a truck and contracted with Reliable or one of the other car haulers. Hundreds of them left the area sunday night and probably never got a second look. It may turn up in their records.
good luck.

I hope he has to pay through the nose. That is called Carma that is what you get when you take advantage of people and pay your security $10 an hour

I have nothing to offer, but I would like to know how it turns out.

I will pray that it is returned in one piece. All of them.

That's absolutely horrible! I'm so sorry! I hope they catch the a**holes, fry 'em, and return your car just as it sat!

I don't see the C5 folks here, I'll post a thread there and get more focus. The more people looking, the better.

Good luck!

We really did just track this **** down

My uncle texted me this picture about 30 minutes ago, said the car has been sitting on his block in San Jose for a couple days with out moving...I remembered this thread and forwarded the corvetteforums link to him. He called the guy and it definitely is his car, he's driving down to get it tonight.

Here's hoping it leads to the return of the other three.
