Default Restomod Cooling Fans?

Looking to purchase electric fan and shroud for my 1962 restomod, what's the recommendations?

I have a new Be-Cool radiator with filler neck made for my car with LS2 fittings.

Should I run dual fans? I will be running AC PS with Vintage Air front runner...

Is there a vendor of choice?

Here's the vendor I used..

http://www.a1electric.com/catalog/cat_spal.htm

I just bought the Spal 30102082 for a Be Kool radiator in a '61....it's the one Mike Coletta and others use and also the linked website's favorite as per their notation.

Pulls lots of air (2470 cfm) and is "quite". The specs on the fan are not the same as is listed on this website...go to the specification link after opening fan # 30102082 on the link (toward bottom of page).

I spent quite a bit of time on this (I have a new Gen IV Vintage Air and live in Texas...plenty of cfm is important here )...This one seems to be the fan of choice these days.

Good luck ..Stan (oh yeah , use one 16" fan)

You don't use a shroud. Just mount the fan as close to the radiator as you can. These work perfectly.

.....from the horses mouth. No shroud.

Mike is where I first learned about this fan. He's personally used it on several successful applications.

There are some other threads on this subject you may find interesting if you do a search.

Stan...

I was looking for one chromed and found this one:
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Chrome...Fan,20447.html
Listed at 2100 cfm. 8 blades instead of 7 on the spal.
Dewitts mistakenly shipped me my rad. with a straight blade fan. I heard they were loud, so I hooked it up just to hear...yes very LOUD.
I don't know about the quality of the above mentioned fan from speedway, but a little cheaper.
