The pulleys look like they are just going to clear the rack. I have the steering attached with a bar for now until my rack comes in. Next, see how big of a radiator I can fit in the car. If any of you have good pictures of your radiator in a restomod c2 I would like to see them and how you ordered it (by part # or custom) I have looked at Dewitts and theirs look like they fit real good. Any info would be helpful.

Sounds like a challenge to me! What do you think?
440 cubic inches, eagle crank, edelbrock heads, 600 lift hyd.roller cam, roller rockers, H beam rods, Hilborn EFI injection, 11 to 1 forged pistons, and its balanced.
If that engine don't make power (sure it will), then replace it with this:

I agree but if I build one of the world product blocks it will be a 609 cubic inch motor with Lamar walden's heads. You could build some serious torque with that.

That's a lot of rubber you have there, what sort of offset/backspacing are you using? Nice build.

The wheels have 40mm front and 59mm rear offset. Factory c6 z06 offset. The front could stand to have 45 mm to give a little more room on the fender. I am going to machine custom wheels at the end of the project that use a center lock instead of lug nuts. These are my autocross wheels.

I've went around and around over this with a certain 'custom' chassis shop. They make a 59.25 front track and a 55.25 front track but make excuses why they don't want to do a 57.25 front track to eliminate the wheel offset/with big brakes dilemma.

Chassis-less at this point.

I have finally had some time to work on my car now that I'm back in town. I have started mocking up the zo6 sway bar on the front but I'm still waiting on the new bushings to come in to get the exact measurements. My Dewitt radiator that I had custom made came in and it fits real good. It has twin spal fans and was made with 1 1/4 tubes. I had them leave off the lower hose connection and send it in the box and will position it myself and weld it so it will clear the sway bar. I also received my C4 rack and pinion and it also fit real good. Mike Scottsdale at SRIII really makes a great chassis! Its on to the rear axles, sway bar, and driveshaft next.

I had clearance problems with radiator and sway bar. Tilt the radiator forward more at bottom and redrill the holes. Problem solved :-)

Well I'm back. I have been covered up with work at my shop for a few months but now trying to squeeze in work on the vette. I have mocked up the Ididit steering column and the borgeson steering joints and it clears the motor good. Not so much with the power steering pump. It hit the rack so I raised the motor 1" and it clears just fine. It also helped the clearance on the oil pan. New problem, the distributor hit the brace on the hood but clears the top edge of the fire wall. The next step is to put about 1/2" of spacers on the body or cut the brace on the back of the hood by 1/2" I have not shimmed the body yet so I will start there.
The power steering reservoir is a real tight fit. I want to mount it next to the motor but not sure if it will fit. I have a power steering cooler that I am going to mount behind the sway bar so I would like to have all the lines close. It fits at an angle parallel with the radiator but not sure if it is OK to mount it like that. I am going to SEMA next week and that is one of the questions I will get an answer to.
Any one else going to SEMA this year? They are going to have a cruise on Friday so the general public can experience the cars from the show. It is going to be cool to hear as well as see the real high end cars from the show. I will be searching out a real good upholstery shop to do my car so I can be put on their list for next year. I would like to finish my car to take to next years SEMA show so I can check that off my bucket list.

Default EFi and 5 Speed

The EFI is awesome. Do you think it would fit under my stock BBC hood on my LS5? I love it. The details like the brass rings holding down the screens are nice.

The 5 speed, is it an OD? Any figment issues? I want to try a Richmond.

Thank you. The transmission is a Richmond 5 speed with OD and it fits perfect and the shifter lands in the factory console. The injection stacks are 2.5 inches from the hood even after raising the motor 1". We made the stacks 1.5 inches tall so they would clear, even the distributor is 1" taller than the stacks.

I am back and have pushed through all the work that has piled up in my shop and its time to get back to work on the car. I have mixed some base coat to test the color I want on the calipers. I sprayed some of my booth coat on the face of the caliper so the paint will rinse off with water. I will be trying a few versions of this color to find a color to go with the bronze wheels and the green paint of the car.

I installed the firewall mount and installed 1/2 inch spacers on the body and now the hood clears the distributor. I have ordered rear axles from the drive shaft shop that should be in next week and a carbon fiber drive shaft that will be in in February. Coilovers will be ordered this week from Ridetech as soon as I decide whether or not to go with the adjusters on the coilover or the version that allows you to adjust them from inside the car.
I wonder how many more times I will have to lift the body up. I believe the roll bar will be next on my list so I can finish the rear wheel wells.
