Default She came home today

Got up at 2:00 am and grabbed a M Dew and out the door I went headed up just East of Cleveland Ohio to pick up my next toy and bring it home. Ran in to a 3 min. delay on the interstate from a bad wreck and a few people got air lifted away. Hope they were all OK. Then later in the 6 hour drive here comes the RAIN and man did it RAIN. Roads were flooded and my GPS was going crazy and I was saying a few choice words to it as well. Just as I pulled up to the address to get the car the rain stopped. I could not believe it. I got lucky. After looking the car over it was loaded up, paid for and a couple pic were taken. I have a pic with the past owner (he bought it in 72) and his wife but without there OK I am not going to post that pic. She was kind of teary eyed when I pulled away with it. Got about 50 miles away and the rain came back to the point that sometimes speeds on the interstate was only at 30 mph. Anyway, got it home and unloaded and in the garage. I will go thru it Monday when I have more time. Sunday I will be laying fiberglass matting all day long on the 54 Motorama project. So here are a couple pic of her. Yeah, it is a Mosport Green Coupe. Thanks Paul.

It also helps to let Forum members know what you are looking for and when some one sees it pop up before you do they are nice enough to let you know and you have to be ready to pull the trigger . That is it , I am done for a while till I see something else I can not live without .I just happen to be gone when wife came home and she could not pull her car in the garage because the 66 was in her spot didn't take long for my phone to ring . I just told her I didn't know anything about it but I would check it out when I got home . I think she is getting close to me in the head at night when I am a sleep . When I got home she was waiting in the garage looking at the Mosport 66. I walked over to her and asked when did she buy that? That went over like screen doors in a submarine but she did say it was pretty but she wanted her car spot back in the garage. I just told her I would move it to the other side of the garage till we found out who's car it was and then we would see what to do with it when we find out who the owner is . I am getting ready to go out and work on the Motorama car all day with Vette Daddy and I will be gone before she wakes up so I will just leave her a note telling her it is kind of like a stray dog that just shows up at your house it will just have to stay till we find the owner . I will deal with her when I get back home this evening from working on the Motorama car . Now wait till the semi comes about Wed with the new 63 SWC and unloads in front of our house that will drive her . I think what I will do is when the semi shows up and unloads I will go look at the car and run (walk) back to the house and just tell her Thank You for the new Car. She will not know what to say.

I'm very happy for you Mike. It looks great. I hope you are pleased with it now that you have had more of a chance to go over it.

Nothing like a garage full of Corvettes

Mike,

Congratulations on delivery of that Mossport Green Coupe! Gotta' luv "filling your cup" as they say. Like your tastes. Looking forward to seeing that '63 as well AND a pic of your stable of Vettes! Again, you do have good taste!

All the best!

Jim
