I believe his long tubes for SBC are 1 3/4" however for everyone else Mcjacks makes many different options. I have his 2" dia BBC direct replacement headers and they are super nice!

Depending on your motor and what's in it, the larger 1 3/4 in, primaries can actually produce less hp, than the 1 5/8 in. ones. Do some research before you dive in.

I have been bragging about the Headman ceramic coated headers i put on my car about 2 years ago
Now the right side header starts to show rust spots

Is Kooks still making stainless LTs for the C2?
Stainlessworks also lists a set.
Agreed or a few more HP up top but less torque across most of the band. Majority of the 327s I would assume would run better on 1 5/8.

I just installed coated Hooker Comps on my '66 that has a stout 350 LT-1. Header fit was good except that there's only about an 1/8" clearance for the idler arm. I went with the 1 5/8" tube and a 2 1/4" mandrel bent exhaust and it's a great combo. It seems better than my old setup, but hard to directly compare headers since I also changed all the exhaust. My understanding is that the smaller tube gives better performance in the 2-5,000rpm range (I did a ton of research and many phone calls on that one). Sidenote: I also used the Hooker exhaust kit for midyear corvette, and it needed a lot of mods to fit properly).

Well, maybe that's because you live a couple hundred miles from the Gulf Coast. Down here we have so much moisture, stuff will rust in the garage just from moisture permeation through the concrete slab. My poor 15 year old restoration is showing a lot of that kind of aging

That's why I bought one of these and added a dehumidifier when I started my resto. Been working like a charm for 4 yrs! I keep it at 60%.
