C1 Door Trim
Hello all, new to the forum and need some help. I have a 55 that I finally got painted and I have polished the trim but can not for the life of me figure out how the side trim is attached. The trim has never been on the car since I have been alive (rescued the car from my dad) can someone please help or post pics?
Thanks in advance!

Still looking for help. Was home for a couple weeks but didn't have a lot of time to work on the car this trip. Still can not figure out how the fastners attach to the side chrome moldings. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Burning Brakes
Not so much for the doors, where you can get to the inside, but for the areas where you can't, or, don't wish to remove door panels.
Go to home Depot or Lowes and in the hardware section find the drawers with misc. You will find a plastic round push type retainer.
Get the size that will slide into your trim.
(They look kind of like a golf ball marker with a stem that has ridges to keep them in the hole.)
Make the holes the proper size. Use a block or something so you don't dimple the stainless when you force it in. Mine have stayed on good for eight years after doing this. If the trim needs to be removed it would be no different then sliding it off as you would need to do with original clips.
