If anyone needs a custom driveshaft, I highly recommend DYNOTECH Driveshafts. I ordered my driveshaft last Thursday and it showed up yesterday....pretty quick turn around in my opinion!

YES THEY ARE GOOD. Plus DDS is excellent also on any kind of shafts you need at a good price also. Man your car is going to be one nice ride..

As always, thanks for the nice comments.

Someone asked me about wheel and tire size at some point, but I can't remember who it was. Correction to my earlier measurements that i posted on the last page...i was wrong about the front wheel size.
Front Wheels are 18 x 8.5"
Rear Wheels are 18 x 10"

For the life of me, i cannot find the piece of paper where i wrote down all of the dimensions for the backspacing, offset, caliper clearance, etc. However, I am sure Zach at Boze wheels will be glad to help...he did some tweaking to my measurements.

Since I kept the stock rear quarters, my max tire size in the rear is 275.
My max front tire size is 245.

I just ordered the tires from discount tire direct. They offered free shipping and had the Nitto tires i wanted while tire rack did not carry the tires or offer free shipping, so it was a no brainer. Hopefully they will show up soon. I'm ready to see it sitting on the ground!

Dash is finished and installed. Gauges are only temporarily installed. I still have a little bit of wiring to tidy up. I changed the bezels to black because I did not care for the silver. I also decided not to use the radio surround bezel as I like the way the new radio looks without it.

New radio from antique auto radio and 6x9 speaker with dual tweeters. The radio has an output for an ipod or MP3 player. While one 6x9 isn't going to produce crazy sound, It's about all I care to do in this car.

Really like the stitching how did you get that grill on top of speaker to lay flat a lot
of them have a gap in front' Your doing a great job. I know how hard it must be to wire all that stuff in a narrow space.

Just got lucky i suppose. I broke a tab off the original, so i bought a used replacement off ebay for 35.00.

Just FYI, if you are building one of these cars make sure you order the driveshaft with a yoke that has bolt on caps. Otherwise, you will not be able to install the driveshaft without dropping the rear end...oops! I'm going to have my yoke swapped out for one with heavy duty bolt on caps. If anything goes wrong with the clutch or transmission during break in, the last thing I want to deal with is dropping the rear end as well a the transmission to address the issues.
Thanks to Mike at SRIII for sending me the link to this yoke!

I put my new AC crimping tool to good use this evening. It seems to work very well...it should pay for itself after just two cars.

I tried to think of ways to hide the heater hoses and AC lines, but after one failed attempt at going through the wheel well, i decided it best to just tuck them low and neat.

I also started mocking up the air cleaner, which I want to run through the fuel injection support. Hopefully there will be enough room behind the grille for a decent size filter.

The car is now on its way back to the paint shop to have the doors, headlamp buckets, and hood installed. I took a few shots of her in the sun today while prepping to load her into the trailer. The pictures don't do it justice! The car is simply stunning even without the hood, doors, and headlamp buckets! I can't wait to see it fully dressed!

Like the new gauge faces, and dash pad.

I used Al Knock for the front and will have the rear custom made.

Thanks

Thanks! I'm glad you like what I have done with it! Obviously I am way behind schedule, but if I can get the paint shop to put the doors and hood on quickly and then get the fabrication guy to make the exhaust in a timely manner, it might be road worthy sometime in June. Then we can go for that ride once i have verified it is safe and all the bugs are worked out.

I'd be afraid to drive a car that was done that nicely. The first scratch or nick would have me crying.
