Fuse values for 67 fuse block
I just got a new fuse kit for my 67 Vette. The fuses have the color bands painted on them.
The kit states and packages fuses that are lower in value then what the values are printed on the actual fuse block on the car. They claim that the values are from the prints specified from the original design prints.
The insert with them says that fuse block and owners manual often are higher values.
Example - radio on fuse block is 10A. The kit provides 4A with red stripe on it for radio.
So what are the correct values for the 6 fuses for the fuse block?
Fuse Block on car says:
B/u lamps 10AM
Heater. 25A
Radio. 10A
Panel lamps. 4A
Tail stop. 20A
ClkCig Ctsy. 20A
Thanks All

Why would you believe some aftermarket vendor vs the factory manuals and the markings directly on the car's fuse block ? I think GM knows what the circuits they designed require fuse-wise. You'll prob be blowing fuses like crazy with that 'kit' especially with aged wiring that's probably drawing a little more current than originally anyway.
The attached picture is directly from the 67 Chassis Manual

Hi Frankie -
The picture of the fuse block that you show is not the actual fuse block for the 1967 Corvette. But the values of the fuses shown are the same for each circuit on the Vette block.
I am using the fuse values that are on labeled on my fuse block for past 46 years. I didn't believe anything - That's why I asked about the "kit"

Yeah - I know, but that's the only fuse block shown in the '67 Manual that I have that covers Corvette, Chevelle Chevy-II, etc..

The 1967 AIM U69-A1 states radio fuse is 106652, a 3 Amp fuse.
The 1967 Spec from the GM Heritage Center says the radio is 20A ??? Everything else matches your fuse panel.
http://gmheritagecenter.com/docs/gm-...t-Corvette.pdf
Fuse specs on Pg 26 of the pdf.
So now we have 3, 4, 10 & 20 amp. Looks like a little confusion here.
What does the owners manual show for the radio?
