Default '67 vette real or scam

After reading about the recent Florida scam I'm wondering about this car.

Seems too cheap.

I agree seems way to cheap, only go after it if you can buy it in person. It would be real easy to sell all the parts for way more than the price.

I think the scammer likes the 8500 number. Keeps you thinking you found a winner. Call him and tell him you are on the way to pick it up with cash. If he back out RUN

Yes you are right. I didnt even look at the other pictures. That under side is the exact picture. Maybe catch the guy with the new phone number. Give it to the police fast before he shuts it off!!!!!!!!!! They can track the number. Somebody tell the guy who lost the 8500 to hurry!!!!

I just Google'd the phone number. 660-528-1722 He has 3 more ads for 3 different cars in 3 states. Several pics are identical in the ads.

This guy needs to be caught, but unfortunately probably resides offshore.

Which is why your first instincts are your best on the things ?

Too good to be true ? Then it is ? Nobody posting an ad on an Internet auction site is selling a car for 1/4 it's market value. If they won't agree to a physical inspection of the car within 72 hours, for ANY reason, walk away.

The poor fella that got scammed out of his $8500 on here is exactly what these cretins are looking for. Somebody salivating so badly over a supposed 'steal of a deal' they short circuit their critical thinking long enough to throw money at the offer to avoid missing out.

Scam or no scam, I'm not even sure what's showing is worth the $8500. The frame could be a total loss. If the frame is no good, the birdcage is likely also a major problem. Most of the parts would require a complete restoration. The engine clearly isn't the original. Looks like a big mess to me.

Errrr.... The point is that there probably is NO car to be had -- at any price. Determining if the pictures are showing something commensurate with the asking price is mental masturbation at this juncture.

I'm sure if you offer the guy only $5,000 for what is shown in the pictures he will happily take your money -- and head for the hills once again

Nah, I would not be worried about something like that myself. I never purchase cars without a personal inspection first. Jeez, I flew 2500 miles to inspect my 67 before I purchased that car.

I replied to that add last week.I left my phone number for the person to call me. Here is the response I got. My phone works.

Your phone # is not working. Call 914-882-3507
Hello,
The response to the listing has been very large, therefore I cannot answer each individual's questions.
Here are some photos. Serious interested parties can schedule appointment to view car and get any questions answerred at that time.
Thank you.
