Default 59 Corvette horn relay location

My 59 Corvette's horn relay is/was close to master brake cylinder along edge of inner fender near hood closure.
Now I am installing my new wiring harness and the horn relay wires protruding from the tape wrap are closer to front of car about 30+ inches from where the old harness. The wire ends obviously don't reach. Is my harness wrong or the horn relay location wrong. I can't seem to see any pictures of where its really supposed to be. Maybe I should just relocate it.
I bought the (M&H) harness several years back but just now getting to this cumbersome chore finding all kinds of non stock issues and half baked repairs. Thanks for any help. -N

Location of relay is incorrect. It should be on the inner fender, several inches aft of where the radiator support bolts in. The inner fender comes up vertically from the frame, and where it begins to turn more horizontal, there should be two holes. Sorry I don't have a picture.

Your horn relay is located in the wrong area.
. Here is a picture of my (1958) relay on the right closer to the front of the car like your wiring dictates.

I will relocate as pictures indicate and forum members have advised. Thanks to all...I am attaching a picture of the area that it needs to go. Couldn't find a hint of a hole even under the dust. Weird.

Possibly a replacement inner fender.

I looked again. No evidence of holes ever having been there, no evidence of a repair. It looks and feels original. I suppose its possible the "glass" could have been repaired or replaced years ago, by why on earth would they move the horn relay. No obvious reason as you can see by my pic. Its an anomaly. I intend to locate it in the suggested stock location to match up with the new wiring harness.

You can't go wrong that way. I gave up trying to figure out why Bubba did things a certain way on my car, I'm sure it made sense to him at the time. I just try to bring it back to factory in most cases.

Suck it up and move the part to where it belongs. The horn relay is a main power buss in these cars and some owner may have thought he'd gain a few volts reducing the wire run to the relay. You'll never know.

I found these switches, activated by weight on the bottom cushion, under my original '61 seats (both sides). Burglar alarm? Azz-warmers? James Bond ejection seat? Who knows?
