Default where to pick up mtr.

I Have sent my 427 to the machine shop..all new stuff..and will be broke in and dyno tuned...
Would like to install the mtr( has 3x2)really dont want to take off the top to install it../I could Take carbs and fuel lines off and I have seen those (lift plates) bolted directly to the intake manifold to install mtr..

WOULD any of you do it that way?...seems like alot of weight to rely on a few small bolts into aluminum to pick the entire motor..complet cast Iron mtr built weight must be 630 or so + the fly wheel and clutch...and additional wt. if installed w/ 4 speed tranny...any suggestions or real live work method? or your guess on the wt?

I would be concerned lifting 650-700 lbs using my aluminum intake as my source of 'bolt up'. Others may have a different opinion but I view it as a risky lift. Cast iron....no problemo!
