1961 currently red with black interior and white soft top
I am debating on painting the cove white
if someone can photo shop the cove better? feel free to make it look better than I did in "paint"

IMO it's not even close. I don't know of any '58-'61 Corvette whose curb appeal isn't significantly enhanced by contrasting coves...no matter what the predominant body color is.
Errr...no offense but I might spend some time on that hood alignment before vectoring off into paint schemes. I'm just sayin'

I prefer the solid color too, but then again, I'm a 62 owner also.

I agree with Frankie... a C1 has to have the painted cove.
PS, while you are at it, paint the back section of those eyebrow areas behind the front bumpers black like they are supposed to be. Always funny looking when they are left body color after a repaint.

You don't see a lot of C1s without the contrasting cove... so its always interesting when you see one that could have a painted cove, and it isn't.
That being said, a lot of folks... buyers in particular, are looking for a contrasting cove.
But its your car... what do you like?
Really, its a winner either way!

IMHO, painted coves look best with the top down, with wide whites & with stock spinner hubcaps.
Body colored coves look best with the hard top on, with dog dish caps ( or aftermarket rims) and black wall tires.

However, I tend to prefer less common colors.
Red/White seem to be the most common color for a '58-'61.
So, to avoid looking like everyone else, I would leave it as is.

It sure looks great both ways but for some reason it looks longer and faster with the white coves.
Just me,but I would paint the two siide grille openings black.
