Default Changing Interior Color 65 Coupe

The car is currently black on black and the interior needs an upgrade; seat covers, door panels, carpet, etc. and I want to change the color to red. I've looked at dozens of photos of 65's and there seems to be discrepancies as to what items are actually black regardless of interior color, and those that need to be red to be factory correct. Some photos show the steering column black on a red interior, and others red. Does anyone have a definitive list of the parts that would have to be replaced or repainted to make it correct? Is the headliner the same for all interior colors? The obvious items are:

o Seat Covers
o Seat Backs
o Carpet
o Door Panels
o Dash Pads (Left and Right)
o Dash Pad Door Jam
o Quarter Trim Panels
o Center Arm Rest Cover
o Left and Right Rear Window Moldings
o Left and Right Side Headliner Moldings
o Left and Right Door Kick Panel Trim
o Shift Console
o Seat Belts

I'm sure I'm missing some items but can't find a source to identify them all. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

You will probably be better off posting this in the C-2 section of the Forum

What's the interior color code on your trim tag? The NCRS Judging Guide, the assembly instruction manual (AIM), Noland Adams' Restoration Guide Volume II, and Dr. M. H. Dobbins' book would all be of help to you.

o Dash Pad Door Jam (if you're talking about the "wings" that rivet to the jamb)= black

Above applies IF the interior is red and the exterior black.
